Attracted to the creative and business side of beauty, Clark quickly learned the inner workings of the cosmetic industry and brought her intuitive understanding of how makeup could help women look and feel their best to product development. Beginning with Girl® Cosmetics, a pioneering prestige teen brand sold alongside Hard Candy® and Urban Decay®, Clark honed her ability to bring beauty products from initial concept to market, eventually going on to successfully develop collections for Sugar® Cosmetics, Hourglass® Cosmetics and Trees® Skin Care & Candles.
Since 2006, Clark has served as brand and product development consultant for many pre-market start-up ventures and existing beauty companies and labs seeking creativity, innovation and rebranding efforts.
Clients have included Lisa Hoffman Beauty®, Mini Kittour®, Addiction NV Cosmetics®, Seacliff Beauty®, McKenna® Labs, Glyderm®, Therapeutix® by Dermatologist Dr. Deborah Luftman, and Intelligent Beauty®. After garnering extensive experience developing makeup and skincare products, Clark became extremely attuned to women's needs - including her own. A hormonal issue that impacted her body and her skin made Clark acutely aware that there was nothing on the market to address her unique skincare needs. In search of a regimen with medical credibility and a personal feel, the idea for mybody was born. Clark teamed up with veteran skincare entrepreneur David Watson to develop an approachable medical skincare range designed to offer targeted solutions for every body and every skin type - bridging the gap between the medical and retail channels to bring consumers effective, easy to use clinical skincare that stands apart from existing brands that can be complicated to use, intimidating, cold and sterile. Available through medical professionals, mybody enables consumers to talk to the experts to whom they entrust their body about their skincare needs and find personal, relatable solutions.
